Fellowship Program in Berlin for Foreign Artists from Crisis Regions

This is a great opportunity for a one year fellowship for artists in all disciplines for collaboration projects with local cultural producers.

Objectives of the program

In the name of foreign artists Berlin based cultural actors and initiatives can apply for a maximum of one-year Fellowship for the years 2018 and 2019 at the Berlin Senate. With this program the Berlin Senate wants to make it easier for artists from crisis regions who had to leave their country to start a professional life in Berlin.

Requirements

The maximum one-year fellowships for art, media and cultural professionals should enable an independent creative activity in cooperation with the applicant institution in Berlin. Eligible applicants are cultural actors and initiatives who are based in Berlin and work professionally in the field of art, media and culture.

The artists interested into the Fellowship program should have completed an artistic education or should have worked as professionals. The requesting institution must conclude a contract (such as work, royalty or work contract) with the artist. Each Fellowship is funded for max. 12 months with up to 2,500 euros per month to finance project-related costs.
