Atatürk Oto Sanayı Sitesi is a huge industrial area for the car producing industries and businesses in the North of Istanbul close to the central business districts Maslak and 4. Levent.

The gentrification in Istanbul is spreading rapidly. Artists started opening up Studio spaces beside the industrial workshops. PG Art Gallery has several show rooms there. Hüseyin Arda is the Founder of Otonom, an artistic collective. He is oscillating between Istanbul and Berlin and was part of the artist collective squatting the “Tacheles” at Oranienburger Strasse in Berlin Mitte.

PG Art and Otonom are partners of the Mahalla Festival. The Streets, they are located in, will be partly used as Venues for the Festival.
