The RIMA FILM FESTIVAL is a showcase of films that reveal the diverse and subjective experience of exile and migration.

While many of the cinematic and media portrayals on migration that reach us primarily focus on the negative experiences of migration, the stories being told during this festival cleverly and beautifully touch on the temporal and subjective psychological questions that exile triggers. Importantly, almost all these stories are defined by the main storyteller – by those who have experienced exile.
The 3rd edition of the Rima Film Festival will be taking place between the 12th-14th October at the Spazju Kreattiv Cinema in Valletta.

Within the RIMA filmfestival the Mahalla Festival and the Sustainable Design Collective presented a selection of movies created at the Community Video Workshop in Malta with third country nationals and local communities in Malta. The videos produced during the workshop will be published regular at the video wrokshop channel of the StreetWalking magazine.

The video workshop is a connecting for good project by Vodafone Malta Foundation, supported by Allianz Kulturstiftung for Europe.

Next session of the workshop will be on Saturday November 3, 9:00 am at Fortress Builders in Valletta.
